Spiraling was a concept for a public sculpture that would be placed on an empty concrete slab in a shopping center. It was designed to represent how students at the adjacent university made their way through the Coronavirus pandemic. Some students didn’t see much change in their lives while others had to shift to an entirely different lifestyle. The different slopes and twists of the spirals represent all these different type of people.
